Welcome

If you love travel, then this blog's for you.
I've travelled extensively throughout Australia by road and air.
In fact, I've circumnavigated the Australian mainland and Tasmania
piloting a light aircraft around the coast. A few inland detours were also included.
Travelling the world is a real eye opener and offers a myriad of learning experiences. So far, I've travelled to Hong Kong, Macao, the Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Nepal, Norfolk Island, New Zealand, Lord Howe Island, Canada, Mexico, USA (including Alaska and Hawaii), Argentina, Chile, Brazil, England, Scotland, Wales, France, Spain, Italy, Monaco, Austria, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Fiji.

If you love flying, then this blog's for you too.
I have a general aviation licence with ratings for constant speed, retractable gear and tail wheel aircraft as well as a single engine seaplane rating. I've also had an ultralight (recreation aircraft) licence.
When I travel I love to go for the commercial joyflights or pilot myself when possible. Aircraft have included gliders, helicopters, seaplanes and hot air balloons. I've even had a go at cable hang gliding.

If you love adventure, then this blog's for you as well.
White water rafting, black water rafting, caving, trekking, jet boating, horse riding, mule riding, elephant riding, speed boating, kayaking, motor bike riding, bicycle riding, water skiing, Nordic skiing, parasailing, 4 wheel driving, camping, fishing, glacier trekking and pistol shooting are a few of the activities I've tried. Obviously there's more still to come.

If you love photography, then this blog's definitely for you.
Through the lens of the camera the world can be discovered, either in its most intricate detail or in the big picture, and lives can even be improved as a result of the photographs taken. I love aerial photography, in particular, because it involves two of my passions, flying and photography, offering another perspective of the world from above.
